Why people name a color
There's no wrong reason - here are the ones that come up most.
Fun
Let's be honest, it's pretty fun to tell someone you've named a color - and there's a permanent page online to prove it (just in case the certificate isn't enough!).
Weddings
The exact blush of a bridesmaid dress, or the shade of the sky on the day. Named together, kept forever.
New babies
The precise color of a nursery wall, or the moment someone was born - a first gift that's genuinely theirs.
In memory
A shade that meant something to someone you've lost - a favourite jumper, a garden, a front door.
Anniversaries
Mark a year, a decade, a place you went together - with something no one else in the world can ever have.
Give someone a color of their own
A Designer Certificate, ready to print and frame - a gift that's genuinely one of a kind, and one they can't buy for themselves anywhere else.
- Instant PDF download, print at home or at any print shop
- Ready in seconds - nothing to wait for in the post
- Combine any of your named colors into one piece
You'll need at least one named color first - then pick your style from My colors.
What's on offer
Name one color alone, or several together - your certificate is included with every naming, issued automatically. Later, combine any of your named colors into a Designer Certificate, in any mix you like.
Naming
Designer Certificate
What's registered is the exact hex value. How it looks on paper or on screen varies with your device, ink, paper and the light you're standing in - that's color, not a misprint.
